Things I’m Leaving in 2017

As we celebrate a new year, we also like to look back on the one we had before. We reminiscence upon the good and the bad. Although, sometimes   I like to think it, we can’t just all magically drop our bad habits. However, you can always improve. These are the things I’m going to (try) to  leave in 2018. My list will be short and sweet but still, as you read these I hope you can add to your list of things you’d like to leave in 2018.

  1. Overthinking

I have done this enough times in my life to last me for many years to come. I do not need it in my 2018 self.

     2. Procrastination

This one will no doubt be hard for me. But Netflix, you can wait!

    3. Fearing change

Yes, I’m not denying that sometimes it is scary but I will try my best to embrace it.

    4. Making excuses

Get that workout in. Turn in that paper. Study for that test.

    5. Caring what others think

Don’t let other opinions control your choices.

Best 2016 Red Carpet Looks

A new year means a lot of things. For many it is a breath a fresh air, a time to look back on the memories made the year before, or a time to set new goals for yourself. To me, it means a lot of things. I made my resolutions and reminisced about the year before. Many trends were created and fashion statements were never slacked. There is no denying that in the past year fashion has advanced with the world and in this post I’m going to show you my favorite 2016 red carpet looks. Till next time, Claire.

Kendall Jenner

What I love: This dress is a vintage meets chic masterpiece. The lace detailing on the upper part sides is what gives if the vintage feel but the beautiful center lacing with the extravagant lace-up boots both give it the chic side of the outfit.

Bella Hadid

What I love: The slit! I love the slit because Bella Hadid is young, 20, and not to mention has a great body. Therefore, I think the very high slit gives the dress just the right about of youth while still creating the perfect amount of class.

Blake Lively

What I love: It stuns me to this day that Blake Lively was pregnant when this was taken. I think that the color of her dress compliments her hair color very nicely. Going along with the hair to dress theme I also love how her hair has a simple smooth wave. She has on a very sparkly dress so she doesn’t need an extravagant hairdo.

Zendaya

What I love: I love how she finds a happy medium between too fancy and too simple. This dress is very simple for that reason she put a few jewelry pieces with the outfit dress it up the perfect amount.

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift

What I love: I love how they both look so good and are the cutest best friends ever. Best friends that slay together, stay together.

Ashley Graham

What I love: Ashley knows how to work her curves. This dress is phenomenally flattering on her.

Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid

What I love: They complement each other’s outfit very well. Gigi’s rings are her version of Zayn’s full robotic arms. Her dress fit perfectly with the theme of the event she was at.

Ariana Grande

What I love: Ariana looked very elegant with this long gown. I love how she ties in a big trend this year of chokers but still keeping it charming.

Hailee Steinfeld

What I love: The fun colors and designs all come in to make an exquisite dress. You can’t miss and that isn’t a bad thing.
